In a world where social media algorithms determine what kind of messages we see, and from which people (most likely the people we already have the most interaction with), we are living more and more in our own online bubbles.

We communicate mostly through screens these days. Real human interaction with the people around us is scarce. Add those algorithms, and you realize that most of our interaction is with people who share our opinions.

We often forget that the most inspiring encounters are with people who differ from us. You can learn so much from others who see the world just a little bit differently than you do. And most importantly, even if you and the other person don’t always have the same opinions, that doesn’t mean that you can’t still be the best of friends.

We think the world will benefit if we have more face-to-face encounters with all kinds of different people. People who can open your eyes again, and let you realize that despite our differences, we share the same values in life.
